One of our focus points is to help local community groups develop alternative sources of income that will alleviate pressure on the marine environment.

Projects are developed that utilise locally available material and the existing skills within the group. Examples include tree nurseries, agriculture, honey production and producing building materials.

Through this programme we engage with over 500 people in 14 different groups.

This also provides us with an excellent platform for disseminating information and encouraging environmentally sustainable practices.
